Tours are selected based on three criteria: (1) Mateo has personally experienced the tour or worked alongside the operator, (2) the operator maintains a 4.0+ rating across Viator and TripAdvisor with at least 100 reviews, and (3) the operator has a clear cancellation policy and safety record. Rankings are weighted by review count, average rating, guide quality, and Mateo's on-the-ground assessment.

San Juan Excursions is an editorial travel guide. I (Mateo Rivera) research, write, and publish reviews and recommendations about tours and experiences in Puerto Rico. The site is informational. Bookings, payments, and tour operations are handled by third-party operators (currently primarily Viator, a Tripadvisor company) on their own websites, under their own terms.

Nothing on this site is a guarantee of availability, price, safety, weather, or specific tour-operator behavior. Tours change, operators change, conditions change. I do my best to keep information current, but I cannot warrant that any specific tour, price, or schedule shown here is still accurate at the moment you read it.

3. Editorial Standards and Affiliate Disclosure

Every tour recommendation on this site reflects my genuine assessment. I do not accept payment from tour operators for placement, ranking, or favorable coverage. I do not write favorable reviews in exchange for free tours, comped activities, or any other consideration beyond normal consumer pricing.
